Utility assistance is available for households that qualify based on government set income guidelines. Utility bills such as Electric bills or gas bills, heaters, air conditioners, water heaters, and other appliances are types of assistance that are available for the elderly, ill or disabled.
Program Division: Community Services
The CEAP Program provides utility assistance to low-income elderly and/or disabled members of your household most vulnerable to the high cost of energy for home heating and cooling; assistance is provided through Utility Assistance Component (general assistance for utility bills) and/or Household Crisis Component (for disconnection notices or purchase of portable heating/cooling units for those that are at risk). Other services include energy education, needs assessment, budget counseling (as it pertains to energy needs), and repair of existing heating and cooling units.
